Why Gridplate?

Unlike traditional T-track spoilboards, PGC GridPlate™ provides mounting locations across the entire work surface, making it easier to secure odd-shaped parts, fixtures, fences, and accessories exactly where they are needed.

The flexible grid layout adapts to your project, helping reduce setup time while providing repeatable workholding for one-off and production work alike.

Built with a replaceable MDF spoilboard, precision-machined aluminum core, and moisture-resistant HDPE base, GridPlate™ is designed for accuracy, durability, and long-term use.

Build Your Workholding System

The PGC GridPlate™ is more than a fixture plate. Compatible accessories including rail clamps, precision fences, corner stops, and bench dogs allow the system to adapt to a wide range of projects and workflows. Start with the plate and expand your setup as your needs grow.

The Three-Layer GridPlate™ Construction

The PGC GridPlate™ combines the replaceability of a spoilboard with the durability and precision of a fixture plate through its unique three-layer design.

MDF Work Surface

The top layer is a precision-machined MDF spoilboard that provides a sacrificial machining surface. When it becomes worn from use, it can be resurfaced or replaced without affecting the accuracy of the GridPlate system.

6061 Aluminum Core

At the heart of the system is a solid 3/8" thick 6061 aluminum core. Every mounting point is threaded directly into aluminum, eliminating the pullout and stripping issues common with threaded inserts. Precision locating holes provide repeatable positioning for accessories and fixtures with repeatability better than 0.0005".

HDPE Base Layer

The bottom layer is machined from HDPE and serves as a protective barrier between the aluminum core and your CNC machine. The HDPE layer allows the aluminum core to be used directly as a fixture plate for aluminum machining with mist coolant, helping protect your machine table while providing a stable foundation for the system.

Together, these three layers create a workholding platform that offers the flexibility of a spoilboard, the durability of direct aluminum threads, and the precision of a fixture plate.
